SINGLE CAR ROLL OVER
A single car roll over crash on Cooper Foster Park Road and Oak Point Road sent the driver to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland by helicopter. The driver, a 19 year old male, was found unresponsive by LifeCare Paramedics upon their arrival. The paramedics, with the assistance from Firefighters from the Amherst Fire Department, treated the man at the scene and then transported him to Community Health Partners (CHP) in Lorain. LifeCare Paramedics immediately had Metro LifeFlight dispatched to CHP when they discovered that they had an unresponsive victim from the crash. During transport to CHP the Paramedics asked the man if he was alone in the vehicle, he only responded with “no”. Paramedics quickly relayed that information to the Amherst Firefighters and Police Officers at the scene so they could begin searching for a possible second victim. An extensive search turned up nothing, Police and Firefighters then determined that the man was in the vehicle alone.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Lorain Police Traffic Division.
