ROLL OVER ON BUTTERNUT

Another EXCLUSIVE from TMC NEWS

A 21 year old male driving south on Middle Ave at a high rate of speed apparently didn't realize that middle Ave ended at Butternut Ridge Road. The car crossed butternut hitting a large yellow reflective arrow, indicating right or left turn, then striking a large boulder pushing it about 12 feet, this is when authorities believe the car flipped over, then clipping a utility pole before sliding about 20 feet where it came to a stop while lying on its roof. Elyria Police and Lorain County Sheriff Deputies were on scene almost immediately after the crash. They dispatched Carlisle Township Fire Department and LifeCare Ambulance.

Carlisle firefighters worked about 15 minutes to extricate the 21 year old from the vehicle before LifeCare Paramedics transported him to Elyria Memorial Hospital. Metro Lifeflight later transported him to Cleveland. The Ohio State Highway Patrol will handle the investigation.
