ANOTHER BOMB THREAT BUT NO EVACUATION

Elyria Police responded again today to the Elyria Wal Mart on West River Road North for a report of a bomb threat. The only real difference between this one and the one last night was that the store manager ordered no evacuation. When reached by phone, the “on duty” manager who refused to give her name stated, “there was no reason to evacuate”. When asked what was different from last night and today the manager continued to say that the management followed Wal Mart policy and there was no reason to evacuate. The manager was asked if that meant that there was not an actual bomb threat made today she said “we have followed all the policies and today was a different situation so no evacuation was necessary”.
However, TMC NEWS obtained the police report from today’s call and it confirms that Wal Mart did in fact receive a bomb threat around 1 this afternoon. The report, in part states: Complainant advises a phone call came in that “there was going to be a bomb in 15 minutes” – management waited 15 minutes – nothing happened – she (the store manager) called EPD”.
Catherine Jarre of Lorain believed that the store did not want to evacuate because “there were so many shoppers and they would have lost too much money”. Jarre went on to say that she felt it was “irresponsible and dangerous what they did.”

I agree with Catherine, all Wal Mart worries about is the money. The way the world is now with people going crazy and shooting up work places and stuff, there is no doubt that the store should have evacuated. If you are going to error, error on the side of caution.

Maybe you should do a consumer report or something and call a bomb threat into Target twice in a week to see how the competition handles things.
