CAR RAMS TWO HOUSES

A 22-year-old male was driving east on Rt. 82 around 3am Friday and all was going well until he went off the road just east of Rt. 83. The car went off the road and went through 4 yards before ending up smashing the front porch of East Royalton Rd residence.

The path the car took and damage along the way:
First yard: ran over the trashcans and bags throwing trash all over the yard.
Second yard: clipping a utility pole and turfing.
Third yard: turfing and smashing a front porch and steps knocking the house off its foundation and waking up a man sleeping just feet away from the porch inside the house.
Final yard: totally destroying the front porch.
Witnesses first on scene state that the male appeared to be highly intoxicated but talking. He had just dropped off a friend and was on his way home before going off road. Eaton Township Fire department and EMS responded and treated the male before transporting him to Elyria Memorial.
