DRIVER CRASHES INTO TREES ON FOWL
Elyria – An Elyria man was almost home when he lost
control of his car and went into a wooded area on Fowl Road just off of West
Ridge Road.
Police say 24 year old Rudolph Martinez of Fowl Road was
traveling west on Fowl when he lost control of his 2008 Mazda 3 and went off
the right side of the road. Martinez plowed through the woods taking down trees
and shrubs before coming to rest buried in the woods.
Martinez was able to extricate himself from the mangled
car and was waiting on the side of the road as Police arrived on scene. As
Martinez waited for LifeCare Paramedics a bystander walked by and told him, “you
know you can’t park there right?” Martinez replied, “I didn’t know that.”
LifeCare Paramedics treated Martinez at the scene and
then transported him to Elyria Memorial Hospital.
Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
