Policía Detención Cuatro Niños

KIDS FOUND INSIDE NEW RESTAURANT
Elyria – Elyria Police Certified four teens Sunday afternoon for Breaking & Entering after they were spotted going into a back door at 605 Chestnut Commons just after 4 p.m.

An alert neighbor spotted four boys at the rear of 605 Chestnut Commons at 4:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The witness called Police when they saw the boys enter one of the doors near the new BMV. The witness told Police four boys entered with two bicycles.


When Police arrived they entered through the back door and found the youths inside. They ordered the four to lay down on the floor so they could be searched.

The boys told Police they had been playing and entered the building only to get in out of the rain. They said they were just “hanging out.”

The building is currently under construction to be the new El Patron Mexican Grill. Police say there is a lot of construction equipment and materials inside the building but said it didn’t appear that anything had been damaged.

Police made contact with parents of 3 of the kids and made them come to the scene to retrieve them. The fourth child was turned over to his teenage sister after Police could not reach his mother.

All four were Certified to Juvenile Court and parents were advised they would be contacted by the courts through the mail.
