CAR ROLLS OVER IN CASCADE PARK

Elyria – Three men driving through Cascade Park Friday afternoon ended up on a riverbank with the car on its side.

The car was heading through the park northbound and as they past the Ford the driver told Police that a deer jumped out in from of him. The driver stated that he took evasive action causing him to go off the left side of the roadway. The car struck a concrete barrier before going up the hill causing the car to roll onto its side. The car slide across the road and went down the embankment where it came to rest on its side against a tree.

All three men were able to crawl out of the car before help arrived. All three refused treatment or transport from LifeCare Paramedics.

One witness who was fishing in the Black River said he did not see the actual crash but said he saw the car traveling at a high rate of speed through the park just before hearing the crash.

The Elyria Police Department is investigating the crash.
