Elyria – I’ll leave the clever headlines to you on this story. An Elyria Police Officer on patrol spotted a large group of people in the pavilion area of North Recreation Center on Duffy.

As the Officer approached the group scattered and fled the area. The Officer then spotted a port-a-potty on fire and notified the Elyria Fire Department.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze that was started by using a cigarette to light toilet paper inside of the potty.

The fire is ruled as Arson and is under investigation.
