ELYRIA MAN JUMPS OFF BRIDGE

Elyria – Police were called to the area of Tannery Street late Tuesday night after a man reportedly jumped off the bridge.

When Police arrived they found a man lying on his stomach below the bridge on Tannery Street. The man told Officers that he intentionally jumped because he was having a midlife crisis.

Police say the fall was approximately 25 feet.

LifeCare Paramedics and Elyria Firefighters treated the man at the scene then transported him to Elyria Memorial Hospital. He was later flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.
