SCOOTER CRASHES INTO TRUCK
TMC NEWS PHOTOS / BRIAN WOODSElyria – A 67 year old Burbank Ohio man crashed into the back of a Ford F150 Friday afternoon sending him to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police say that Thomas Smith was riding a 2008 black Taiz Rakatak west on Route 57 when he slammed into the back of a 1997 Ford F150 driven by 51 year old Lewis Chenoweth of Elyria.
Chenoweth was stopped at the traffic light about 800 feet east of Gulf Road when the crash occurred.
LifeCare Paramedics treated and transported Smith to Elyria Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released later in the evening.
Smith was charged for Assured Clear Distance.
