HOUSE EXPLOSION IN RIDGEVILLE

North Ridgeville – Firefighters responded to 5955 Eastview in North Ridgeville around 10:30 p.m. Thursday night after receiving reports of a possible house explosion.

Assistant Chief John Reese of the North Ridgeville Fire Department said that when Firefighters arrived they found the home fully involved along with a car and motorcycle in the driveway also on fire.

Neighbors said that they heard a loud boom followed by several pops that sounded like firecrackers.

Two people that were in the home at the time were able to escape without injury.

Reese said that the State Fire Marshall would be called in due to the explosion.

Mutual Aid was provided by Avon, Westlake and Olmsted Township Fire Departments.
