ELYRIA MAN SHOT AT AND CHASED
Photos & story by BRIAN WOODS
Elyria – An Elyria man called Police Tuesday night saying that someone was chasing him and shooting at his car.
Police say that 29 year old Willie Boone called their Department reporting that a man was chasing him on Lake Ave north of Route 113. Boone also told Dispatchers that the man was shooting at him.
Although Boone told Police they were north on Lake Ave approaching the city limits, Officers could not find them. Then a man called Police and said that he had been run off the road by two black vehicles on Murray Ridge Road near Bullocks Parkway. A short time later Boone advised Dispatchers that he was parked at the Convenient Food Mart on West Ridge Road and that he had exited the car.
When Officers arrived they found Boone sitting in the passenger seat and another man in the driver’s seat. Although Officers found two bullet holes in the trunk of the car Boone said he had no idea what was going on and that he was not driving.
The car was impounded because neither of the men had valid driver’s license.
