Dear Editor,
At 7pm on Thursday November 5th 2009 at the Amherst Eagles; Glenn Loughrie, Chuck Winiarski, and me will be hosting a town hall meeting pertaining to the City of Lorain imposed CRA.
At the meeting we will be discussing general background of this tax scheme, the financial impact is has made to citizens of Amherst, Amherst Township, and those living in the City of Lorain, but outside the CRA zone, and future measures that will be taken if the negatively impacted citizens aren’t made whole.
Recent reports have stated that a settlement to this matter has been reached. While that may be true for the County Auditor and Lorain, it couldn’t be further from the truth for the 600 property owners who have filed tax protest with the Auditor and those who haven’t filed protests but are financially harmed.
Please join us and our efforts to remove this illegal tax.
