2 MORE OHIO H1N1 CASES CONFIRMED
Columbus – The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has confirmed another two cases of the H1N1 Swine Flu in Ohio – this time in Columbus.
Dr. Mysheika LeMaile-Williams, City of Columbus Medical Director said that the two confirmed cases consist of two Columbus men – one works at the Ohio State University Medical Center.
OSU is also dealing with a male freshman that has a suspected case – he has been isolated on campus and is being treated. Officials believe he was exposed to the virus through family members. Officials from the University are now speaking with the 450 residents of Stradley Hall where the student lives and anyone who has been in close contact with the student over the past two days.
The Medical Center employee became ill while working this past Tuesday and officials say that has led to the identification of more than 100 co-workers who might have been exposed – however, officials believe there’s no risk of patient exposure.
