South Amherst – Rescuers were called to Route 58, south of 113, near the Dragon Ranch Golf Course for a roll over crash – callers stated that people were trapped inside.

South Amherst Firefighters and Paramedics from Central Lorain County Ambulance District arrived on scene and found that only one victim, Joseph Hernandez, had self-extricated himself from the overturned van.

Hernandez was treated at the scene and transported to Allen Community Hospital in Oberlin.

Trooper AJ Torres of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said that Hernandez had been traveling north on 58 before he lost control and went off the right side of the road. The van flipped before coming to rest on its side. And before you ask, no, there were no newspapers in the van at the time of the crash.Hernandez will likely be charged with failure to control.

Funny I didn't see this story in the paper. But then again they do no wrong. Proof positive they only report what they want. Haas
