FIRE TRUCK REAR ENDED - TWICE

Elyria – With the snow just beginning to fall Police, Fire and EMS have been busy around the area dealing with Crashes, Slide Offs, Spin Outs and Roll Overs. Elyria Firefighters however became involved in one of the crashed while returning from rendering care at a previous crash.

Firefighters on Elyria Engine 3 were returning to their station after dealing with a crash on Lake Ave. While at the stop sign on Adams at Bell Ave the Engine was rear ended by a car and then that car was rear ended by a small SUV.

One driver was transported by LifeCare Ambulance to Elyria Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. No Firefighters were injured in the crash.

I thought the back of the fire truck said stay back 500 ft.

They slid 500' due to ice filled potholes.
