REMEMBERING A FRIEND

Family, friends, neighbors and even some strangers showed up to Granny D’s Pizza Shop Monday night for a candlelight vigil honoring David Kowalczyk.
Flowers, candles and notes lined the building where Kowalczyk was murdered last Saturday night. Paul Dillon said he decided to go at the last minute. “People just want the family to know that we loved him and we support them”.

Thank you for doing this story about Dave. He was a wonderful man. We first met him 25yrs ago when he first opened his shop. My husband delivered for him on weekends when he was off from his other job. He worked hard and then to have someone just come and take it away just like that is so sad. I hope and pray they catch this person soon. We lost such a valuable member of our community.

The Ministers of the Downtown Churches and Other Clergy will be gathering on the sidewalk in front of Granny D's for a time of prayer for the Kowlczky Family and for our community.
This gathering will take place at 12 noon on Thursday June 28.

We invite all who are able to join us for this time of prayer.

"Blessed be the Lord! For he has shown me the wonders of his love in a beseiged city." Psalm 31:19
