FIRE STRIKES COLUMBIA HOME

Columbia Township – Firefighters from multiple jurisdictions spent hours battling a blaze on Mitchell Road in Columbia Township late Sunday night.
As the first Firefighters were arriving they were able to see the glow from the fire about a mile away. Once on scene they reported heavy fire shooting through the roof of the home.
Firefighters were able to get the fire extinguished within two hours.
Neighbors say the family was in West Virginia last night with their dog.
No injuries were reported.
Columbia Township Fire Department received Mutual Aid assistance from Eaton Township, Carlisle Township and Olmsted Falls.
