ELYRIA WOMAN STABBED ON CAROL

DEVELOPING STORY
Elyria Police are searching for a man who stabbed a 25 year old female earlier tonight on the cities southeast side.

Police and Paramedics were initially called to the intersection of Carol Lane and Ashland Ave for a reported motor vehicle crash. When they arrived they found the female with multiple stab wounds on the ground being comforted by people from the neighborhood.

Neighbors told TMC NEWS they heard a crash and when they looked out they saw the car against a tree and a man wearing a stocking hat was running eastbound towards South Abbe Road.

Police searched the area extensively but was unable to locate the suspect in the neighborhood.

The victim was treated on scene by LifeCare Paramedics before being transported to Elyria Memorial Hospital. The victim was then flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland where her condition is unknown at this time.
