BLOCK PARTY A HIT

Lorain – According to the kids, the Great Lakes Church Block Party could have gone on another couple hours Sunday.

About 2,000 people attended the “everything free” event Sunday in the Super K parking lot on Leavitt Road. Kids and adults were treated to pizza, popcorn, cotton candy, games, jump houses and live music.

Lorain Firefighters and LifeCare Paramedics were also on hand to tell kids about their jobs and to show off their trucks.

The best part of the day, one of the kids said, aside from the free pizza was the fact that they didn’t get rained on.
