FIRE AT AMHERST BRIDAL SHOP
TMC NEWS PHOTOS / BRIAN WOODSAmherst – A fire that broke out in an Amherst Bridal Shop Wednesday evening damaged several wedding dresses.
Fire Officials said that the fire started around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening inside of Sharon’s Bridal on Park Ave. The fire was caused by a short in ceiling light fixture in one of the dressing rooms. The fire was able to climb a back wall up to the second floor before Firefighters were able to bring it under control.
Firefighters carefully removed wedding dresses and laid them out on a tarp that they had put down behind the building to protect the dresses.
The structure suffered fire, smoke and water damage.
