TMC NEWS PHOTOS / BRIAN WOODS
Elyria Township – A crash Monday night should serve as a reminder that with the return of warm weather comes the return of motorcycles on the roadways and we should all be paying extra attention.

A 28 year old Elyria man was injured Monday night after he was struck by a teen female who failed to stop at a posted sign. Troopers say that the teen was west on Elmwood in Elyria Township when she failed to stop at the sign. She went through the intersection and struck Ryan Rothmann who was traveling south on Ethel on his motorcycle.

The collision threw Rothmann from his bike and into a nearby yard.

Paramedics from Elyria Township treated Rothmann at the scene and then transported him to Community Health Partners Emergency Room with injuries to his shoulder, neck and chest.

Troopers say that the teen will be charged with Failure to Yield.
