TMC NEWS PHOTOS / BRIAN WOODS
Elyria – Not sure if 33 year old Andrew Karbler of Elyria is trying to break a record but he received his 6th OVI Tuesday morning when he ran a stop sign and crashed into another car.

Karbler was traveling north on Hawthorne when he ran the stop sign at Poplar and crashed his van into another van that was tarveling west on Poplar. Karbler continued north on Hawthorne after the crash and took out a street sign and brought doen a light pole before stopping.

Karbler failed a series of field sobriety tests and was arrested and charged with Felony OVI (F4), Stop Sign (MM).

The van Karbler struck was driven by a woman who had just dropped off 3 of her children at Elyria Community School but still had her 3 year old son in the van. Neither received any injuries.
