PRESIDENT DODGES INCOMING SHOES
Welcome to Baghdad Mr. President – here are my shoes.During a surprise visit to Baghdad Sunday President George W. Bush was giving a press conference when a reporter jumped to his feet and threw a shoe at the President. The President was able to dodge the shoe that had been hurled towards his head. The reporter shouted; “This is a gift from the Iraqis. This is the farewell kiss, you dog.”
The reporter chucked a second shoe at the President while shouting; “This is from the widows, the orphans and those who were killed in Iraq.” President Bush was able to avoid being struck by the second shoe as well.
Although Secret Service Agents began to rush in the President waived them off saying it was ok – preventing the situation from becoming and even bigger event.
Just after the man was removed from the room Bush stated; “All I can report is it is a size 10.”
