O Romeo, Romeo...
...Wherefore Art Thou Romeo?
Not in the coach’s office, that’s for sure. The Cleveland Browns “relieved Crennel of his duties” as head coach this morning. Crennel is due to meet with the team at noon today.Crennel was just given a two-year extension on his contract (thru 2011) in January of this year. Crennel was 24-40 with the Browns and just 5-18 inside the AFC North. More importantly he was 0-8 against the Steelers. The door has been left open for Crennel to remain with the Browns organization, just in a different position.
ESPN is reporting today that Owner Randy Lerner informed Phil Savage about his termination last night after the Steelers game – over the phone.
Wasting no time, the Cleveland Browns have already removed Crennel’s bio from their website.
