PLANE DOWN - SEARCH UNDERWAY
A Cessna plane crashed in the water Monday evening around 9 p.m. just east of Kelley’s Island. Authorities say that an 7 year old male has been found in the scattered wreckage and has been transported to a local hospital with non-critical injuries. The male advised authorities that there were two others with him in the plane at the time of the crash. The United States Coast Guard along with multiple local rescue teams are searching at this hour for those two.
Authorities say that weather conditions have been good tonight with little to no wind.

Jeremy’s father, 46 year old Jeff Hutchison was the pilot and is still missing. A side-sonar detected the planes fuselage just before noon today about 700 yards off Kelley’s in 20 feet of water. Search for the father was stopped for a short time to allow the rescuers time to regroup. The search for the father continues at this hour.
