INTO THE WOODS

A single car crash early Friday morning left a man trapped in his Ford Escape.

The man was traveling north on Leavitt Road Friday morning around 2am when he lost control and went off the road, taking out a light pole and ending up buried in the woods.

Damage to the Escape was so extensive that Firefighters had to use the “Jaws of Life” to extricate the driver. Central Lorain County Ambulance Paramedics treated the victim until Metro Life Flight landed and flew him to Cleveland Metro Health Medical Center.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
