HIGH SCHOOL DUGOUT SET ON FIRE

Sheffield Township – Firefighters are still on scene cleaning up after a fire in a dugout behind Clearview High School on North Ridge Road.

Firefighters were called to the scene at 2 a.m. after some people thought the school itself might be on fire. When Firefighters arrived they found the dugout on fire.

Extinguishing the blaze was slowed down a little while Firefighters had to stretch hose several hundred feet to the baseball field.

Lorain County Sheriff’s Deputies are also on scene collecting evidence as they perform their investigation into the cause of the blaze.
