1961 CHEVY TOTALED AFTER FIRE

Elyria – Elyria Firefighters were called to a reported car fire at 189 Clinton Ave early Friday morning. As Firefighters were pulling up the car was so heavily involved in fire and sitting so close to the house they feared the house was also on fire. As they got closer they could see the car was just far enough away from the home and only the car was burning.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze quickly but remained on scene for over an hour while Fire Investigators were called in to inspect the scene. Believing the fire was arson the car was then towed for further investigation.

No injuries were reported
