DRIVER FOUND LYING IN YARD

Lorain – While Lorain Police were investigating the crash on West 20th Street their Dispatch received a call of another crash on Cambridge Ave on the cities Westside.

TMC NEWS spoke with a man who said his daughter spotted the man lying in the front yard of the Cambridge Ave home while she was on her way home from Duncan Donuts. “She was afraid to stop so she came right home and told me what she had seen. We notified the Police right away then I came down here to see what had happened.”

The man found the victims cell and was busy going through the phone trying to find a friend or family member to let them know what had happened. After making several calls he said that nobody was answering the calls.

The man said it appeared that the driver had flipped his SUV but hadn’t struck any other vehicle or utility poles before coming to rest in the front yard on the northwest corner of Cambridge & West 38th Street.

LifeCare Paramedics treated the driver at the scene then transported her to Community Health Partners Emergency Room. The victim was flown a short time later to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.

No other injuries were reported.

The Lorain Police Department Traffic Division is investigating the crash.
