A large chunk of a very old tree comes crashing down across Columbus Street near Glenwood late Tuesday night. As Elyria Police block traffic and wait for a tree service for clean up, neighbors are asking why the city hadn't cut the old tree down a long time ago. One neighbor said that they have complained to the city many times but were told that the tree was "too old" to cut down. No injuries were reported.

To think that this was only a third of the tree. Can't wait to see what damage is caused by the other 2/3.

Jeff momentarily parked his truck in that exact spot before we left that evening, and moved it. He said, "I never park there, why would I today?" I haven't decided if he regrets that move yet or not!

Thanks Terry for all the great news.

It's 8:15 am two days post fall and there is a tree service here to rid us of the rest of the tree.

Our prayers have been answered!
