Power went out in many areas in the northern part of Lorain county this afternoon. Large sections north of Hillard Rd in Elyria, North Ridgeville, Avon, Sheffield & Sheffield Lake lost power just after 1 this afternoon, most areas had power restored by 3:30. Ohio Edison crews have been working throughout the afternoon to resolve the problems.
